Kamugnaan Sa Atúa 2025

  • Atúa Midtown F. Manalo Street Cebu City, Central Visayas, 6000 Philippines (map)

After half a year of organizing, Balay Kasamtangan and Sword Isles Studios successfully mount “Kamugnaan Sa Atúa” in Atúa Midtown, Cebu City.

Bringing together creatives and cultural bearers from both Mindanao and Luzon to meet in central Visayas, Kamugnaan Sa Atúa stays true to its name by creating a space where various disciplines collided. In Binisaya, “mugna” means to create; with the prefix “ka-” means to do it with others.

Pioneers and advocates of culture descended upon the heritage hotel-turned-art-hub for an afternoon of live martial arts demonstrations, a marketplace with various designers, panels by cultural advocates and Datús, all in tandem with campaigns of locally-made tabletop games.

Attendees were dressed in the patterns of the Philippine archipelago, sporting local weaves and accessories harking to periods across history, revitalizing cultural aesthetics while preserving its integrity.

Championed by HoliCow and in partnership with Lost Books, Cebu Making Space, Kuri Kuri, Dicerino, Made with Labs, and Pastitch Studio. Featuring Fiddl., Elysium, Strive CCA, Hallyu Chicken, Ohka Brassware, Subculture Merchandise, La Liga Re-enactors Group, Lalang Handpoke Tattoos, and Lost Arts Research by Lefty.
