Our postcard zine that first debuted in Cebu Art Book Fair 2025.
We are now making it free and accessible as a way to reveal more of the scenes one normally doesn’t perceive of the island-region known as Mindanao.
Often misunderstood due to political and religious differences, while carrying deep wounds connected to colonial eras, this booklet presents the various facets of the island and its people. In a world that consistently tries to alienate individuals from each other, we made this in celebration of the cultural diversity that exists.
Vibrancy is showcased as a mode of resistance against the tides of Western-led globalization: colors flown as a symbol of heritage, intricate patterns as woven memory, and organic materials as circular economy.
Like a message in a bottle, we throw this into the ocean known as the internet in hopes of it reaching someone much like us. This is our little love letter to a place that remains proud in the face of attempts at erasure.
